I've left a message for Matt at CTC, some roads in the area were
broken and I wonder what the effect in Helmsley will be ?

We were lucky that the Coast to Coast charity ride had been through
many of the places listed a few hours before.
having made it to Scarborough before the rain I genuinely felt sorry
for those who had to complete in the rain.

As the news says it was torrential.

hm. Good point. Looking at the map, and trying to remember from when I
was last there, you would need to go over that bridge, so it just
depends how badly it's damaged.

Indeed, though it should be a solvable problem. HQ is in Ampleforth and
the main circuit is actually based around Hovimgham/Terrington (away
from the Moors)
