I wildcamped on Hay Bluff in the Black Mountains , South Wales last night ,
had a great sunset and awoke to a cracking morning with low cloud in the Wye
valley and the Brecon Beacons . Eventually it drifted over to Hay Bluff and
smothered it but the sight of it was pretty spectacular . I've quickly
posted a selection of photos onto my website , they are at

    http://www.stigvista.co.uk/hbinv/hbinv.htm

I'll be posting more from this walk and the other 3 days I spent in the
Brecons when I get sorted out .

Great pic's, thanks. I really love the last one!

    Best wishes,

    Graham .

  3. Having grown up in Herefordshire (even though I now live in the
    Highlands) this induces a touch of the old homesickness. Well done;
great toggies. Look forward to seeing some more in due course.
P.S. Cracking little pub with small riverside campsite under some of
that lot - the Bridge Inn at Michaelchurch Escley.

    Hi PW

Thanks for that . I had problems with my mattress on a previous wildcamp
with the cold so decided to take your advice and get the Exped down air
mattress and am well impressed with it . I wasn't sure whether to go for
the size 7 or 9 but went for the 7 in the end to keep the weight down and
find it suitable enough . Thanks for the tip .

    Regards

    Graham .
