From the information in the Bike Events ride guide I can work out a plausable route between Burnham Beeches and Oxford, I know where it starts (its next to my local library) and that it passes my house in St. Margarets, Twickenham (as I see it go past every year) but the bit in the middle I can't work out.
I'm registered but haven't got my info pack yet. Does anyone know the route this takes out of London?

only done it twice (and over 10 yrs ago) but would be suprised if it has changed much from;
Gunnersbury Park- South Ealing- under the M4 elevated -Isleworth-over the A4-over the A312 -Cranford-(sp LCN)-Harlington-Sipson-West Drayton- Iver- Fulmer- Farham Common- Burnham Beeches etc etc

Is this in some strange order or a combination of the two different routes? From Richmond "under the M4 elevated" has to happen before Gunnersbury Park and South Ealing. If it is this ride which goes past my house on the A3005, Isleworth then over the A4 over the A312 makes more sense but won't have an Gunnersbury Park/South Ealing component - you were you thinking of Osterley Park?

I said it was along time ago ;-) The short one (Pauline?) from Birds of a Feather was sending us off, no it was definitely Gunnersbury Park, I know Osterley Park, that is why it went under the M4 after S Ealing. If it starts from Richmond Park now it probably goes to Isleworth then picks up the route. I knew the route from Isleworth well, I used to cycle home to West Drayton along it.

It starts from Richmond Green this year so presumably either up through Kew, Gunnersbury Park and then west (and not past my house) or past my house, Isleworth over the A4 and off West. Your route from Cranford to Burnham Beeches confirms what I thought by looking at yellow roads going the right way on my map so I'm sure that's right.
that's OK; never occurred to me that it would start sarrf of the river. BTW it was the short one at Gunnersbury, Pauline Quirke was at Oxford. After Littleworth Common it went once thru Wooburn Green-Flackwell Heath and once through Cookham and Marlow. Any mention of a bike ban on FGWL trains back from Oxford?

Thanks again.
I guess there will probably be a train ban - if anyone has told the TOC that it's happening :-) or that the trains are limited to 2 bikes each.
Bike Events are running a coach service back at a bargain £18(!). I'm doing this with my daughter so we getting mum to come and collect us.
