  1. I just bought Netti SuperRoubaix leg warmers with a zip, because mine
weren't warm enough, and I'm too lazy to take my shoes off, and they
    were cheaper...

So, where do I wear the zips? Is it zips to the outside, pretty reflecto
stuff on my calves? Or zips to the inside? Or zips to the back, with
    reflecto stuff on the outside?

They kind-of look shaped, but that might just be where I tried them
    on... HELP!

    Tam

  2. I've got exactly the same ones (as you know!) - I've been wearing mine
with the zip at the very back, and the reflecto stuff on the outside of
    the ankle/calf...

Now - seeing as you're asking this, and given that you saw me wearing
these yesterday, you MUST be asking because I looked totally dickie in
them!!!!! Were they sitting askew or something??

Why didn't you tell me?? I am aesthetically challenged as it is,
without mis-worn legwarmers thrown into the mix... *laughing*

Absent Husband (who has convinced himself that black legwarmers are
    slimming...)

Oh no! If they're slimming, no one will see me! :P

Er, no, I just saw someone else wearing them differently is all... I'm
sure they're warmer with the zip at the back but all my trackies have
    zips at the side...

All the circus girls wear those sorts of legwarmers, it's truly
    horrific.

The problem is not the location of the zip.. it's the leg warmers themselves. KNEE WARMERS are da rigger, I mean de rigueur!

If it's too cold for shorts, it's cold enough for full leg warmers.

See, that's what I reckon. I think it's bad enough that the very tops,
and my hips, get colder, because I don't want longs, because if I need
to take them off (as often happens in Qld) they're a pain to carry
(bought my Bento box just so I could use jersey pockets solely for
stripped-off items of clothing on long rides).

So Carl, where do the zips go?

    And reasoning?

See the warmers looked a bit shaped like that, but I was worried that,
given more ankle movement in that plane than any other, there was a risk
    of discomfort...)

Out on the road, I see about 50% to the back and 50% to the side.
Brisbane cyclists clearly have no idea how to do stuff in the cold.

That's how they're cut. I can send you a template if you
    want, if you have Illustrator.

I've never even noticed them once on.

WTF??? Is that supposed to be a good thing??

I feel like all my leg muscles are splitting on my rides - but I
suspect that's not what you're talking about...

Splitting is where you can distiguish the different muscles, the soleus
and gastrocnemius and peroneus all sitting out there for all to see...

  15. *laughing* So that explains why *I* didn't know what you were talking

Picked up some new leg warmers today at Uno. maybe it varies between
brands but theirs are supposed to have the zip on the outer side,
because they have a seam that is designed to go to the back of the knee.

Thanks Carl, I'm going to have to start paying you soon.
