With all the hoopla about Kirstin Gum's lack of gravitas, has anyone noticed there now appears to be
a bit of discord growing on the OLN broadcast between the principals? I have noticed that Kirsten
seems to be negatively reacting to Bob Roll's witty, off-color comments; yet, it's precisely those
comments that give a unique perspective to the OLN broadcast; not the usual , illiterate rot we see
at other sports networks. The National Enquirer does not indulge in critical reviews of short
stories in the New Yorker. Why then must Kirsten make her hayseed critical assessments of Roll's
welcomed witticisms?
I also noticed this dynamic tension has spilled over to Sherwen and Liggett, as well - obviously,
Phil is very happy with his born-again, svelte, athletic physique - but now, he finds every
opportunity to remind Sherwen that he crawled up the mountains when he raced... or that he has
gained too much weight and girth since retiring, or uses the wrong word in the broadcast, etc.
My though is that Kirsten is causing bad karma on the set. Has anyone else noticed this growing
tension, too? Something is rotten in Paris.
