  1. Finally got things squared away. I arrive on 7/11 and will probably
have a few mornings (8 - 1) free as most of my work will be at night
(hmmm... can you say beach?). The good news is I am stuck there until
Sunday but the conference ends on Saturday. That means all day Saturday
is free. If anyone in the area would like to join me for a ride, email
me. You can pick the place (but I do not have a car). Be kind, I'll be
on a singlespeed (and I am not as strong or skilled as JD).

While you're there, make sure you take the family to quaint little beach
called "black's beach". For some reason one seems to get a better tan
    there.

Yeah, absolutely. Take them there if you're into seeing old fat naked
people with their guts hanging down to their knees. Sure to whet any
    appetite.

Doggone it, Chris! I was looking forward to the RR (Regurgitation Report)!

    LOL, sorry

I'm not as strong or as skilled as many I have had the opportunity to
    ride with.

I just may have some free time next week, so expect an email.

Ditto, dudes. (It's the week AFTER next, BTW.)

I'd suggest Noble Canyon for Saturday (7/16, right?), but it's pretty tough
for /most/ SS-ers. Maybe we'll stay local instead...

E-mail to follow soon. (Also see SJT post; too bad it's right before you
    get here 🙁 )

Just remembered: *I* have a spare geared bike (Fisher Paragon size M), so
if it fits and we DO decide to go "epic" Saturday, you're more than welcome
to ride it. (Poor thing needs some love!)

So, let's find Mitch a geared bike to borrow if he wants one.

Yup. Just thought of that 🙂

What's the standover on that (remember I am 5'5"😉? Worst case, I can
pack up the Id and bring that. I'll need transport from the hotel.

Hmm. It's gonna be well too big for you, I'm afraid. If you can bring the
Id, then you'll be in heaven out at Noble. (If you stick with the SS, we'll
just find a more "friendly"-type ride for Saturday...OR maybe someone else
    will have a loaner.)

Since you'll need to be picked up a bit north and along the coast, then
something like Penasquitos would fit the bill perfectly. (It ain't
thrilling, but it's still a damned good ride.)

    We'll tawk...

LOL. Yeh, I saw some pics on the Internet of some techie spots. Funny,
everyone in the photos were walking their bikes.

I'm shipping whatever it is on Monday. I'll let ya know.

If y'all want to make it an epic, I am not against renting a car at the
hotel for the day. Heck, $35 is what I'd pay for a bike lift ticket at
    Vail.

  16. Have fun and stay away from the hospital and don't
break any bike parts. JD is near.
