If people tell me that there is no clearly defined nonviolent way to
deal with a situation, then I answer that we have got to experiment and
find one. God knows we have experimented long enough with other methods.

  3. Raphael-

YOU DA MAN!!! I've got mine with me in Vancouver this weekend. John
Childs and I were both wearing them on my birthday ride. Jacquie Foss is
actually supposed to wear hers at the California MUni weekend. I'm going
    just for that part.

Greg, I feel confident in saying that for conceiving of this image, then
posing for it and giving it to the online unicycling community, YOU DA
    MAN.

Today a woman whose daughter will be in my Sunday school class this year
commented that she was one would could be counted on to tell people
what's on her mind and that I, based on my t-shirt, was probably of a
    similar bent.

Last on my list, and most difficult of all, will be wearing it while
browsing at a lumber yard.

Please post pictures of anyone wearing the t at the CMW. And enjoy.

  5. I wore my Harper Hottie tee yesterday while accompanying my daughter to
    her guitar lesson.

At some point I was speaking with the owner of the music shop and after
a while I could see his eyes resting on the shirt. I could see his mind
at work and realized that I could be telling him that I had just cleaned
out the register and he'd be none the wiser.

I interrupted the conversation which he wasn't following anyway, and
    said, "I love this shirt."

    "It's distracting" was his reply.

With the mileage I'm getting out of this garment, $20 was the best deal
    I've gotten in years.

  6. I still get disgusted looks from strangers so I'm getting good benefits
also. I'd still say Foss ripped you off for $20 though just to start a
nasty rumor. I wonder how often Jaquie wears hers. My kids (adults)
still won't wear theirs and my wife, who took the photo, won't even
    touch the ones I own.

On the flip side, some of my childrens' friends have expressed great
approval and I'm still giving out the temporary tatoos that Rhysling
made to people who actually put them on.

Are you going to go through all of the lyrics of "Almost Cut My Hair"
before you ditch the David Crosby avatar? (Almost Saved My Liver.)

That line belongs in a song.

Nah, I'll get bored with him shortly and put someone else up.

  8. That picture is seriously awful, but what's even worse than the picture
is the design of the shirt: taking a picture and just slamming white
text in an ms paint font onto it.. Good job! 🙄

  10. What's there to understand? The oh so hilarious irony of an old man with
unkempt hair posing as a human repellant for a poorly designed t-shirt?
    Oh, the comedy!

Edit: I'll try to reply to you between my fits of laughter 🙄

  12. There are tattoos? I'd be all over them.... well.... um... they'd be
all over me, i guess. How can i get my hands on some of them? Oh, the
    laughter.

See, the shirt is pretty funny, but tattoos have this connotation of
being tough (think Harley-Davidson bikers). So, the 'Harper Hottie'
image with the 'tough' connotation is just too funny. Oh, lord.

  13. Tatoos have the same connotations of being tough, as unicycles have
connotations of clownery and circus shows. People get them for different
    reasons.

  14. I agree.

    If you are contesting:
I wasn't giving a definition, just expressing the funny idea that popped
into my head when i read that there were Harper-Hottie tattoos. That's
why i threw in the bracketted description; so people wouldn't get
confused. Maybe i needed more brackets.

    If you are adding:
    Obviously.

PM your mailing address to me. I have a couple hundred of them left that
Rhysling gave me. I'll just mail a few to you.

  18. I want one of those t-shirts!

It's quite a shame i live pretty far away from the producers..

    Is there any left?
Is it possible to sort the payment out with VISA or Amex in any way? I
don't like the thought of sending money in an envelope half way around
    the world..
If not, could i get a hi-res picture of the printing? Then i could have
a few printed out for myself..
I don't think it would ruin your economy by creating a pirate for your
own brand, since the markets wouldn't interfer with each other that
much, but of course you could get a part of the earnings! 😉
