Not a good start for Ullrich...he's already more then a minute behind.

LOL I said it allready a week ago this tour will be again an ANTICLIMAX! The definining moment of this tour.......armstrong passes ULLe over only 19 km's. Yikes......!

And let's not forget Zabriskie he rode really good. He won allready a TT at this years Giro and now in the TDF too.

And back to armstrong again........2nd so no teamcontrol. The perfect place and after the third stage more then 3 min ahead of some tdf contenders.

Boring.......not at all!

Yes, this was a terribile result for Ullrich. Two humiliations: getting passed by LA and getting beat by Vino. I don't dislike Ullrich (like most Americas on this forum, apparently), so I'm pretty disappointed with him today. Getting passed on a 19km TT sucks, bad.

Lol, I've been reading through some forums and unbelieveble everyone is allready saying stuff like 'boring tour', 'can that american just leave cycling'.

And that desperate attitude of most haters: 'can someone pleaaase stop him, if ulle can't do it, let someone else do it'.

One word: PURE DOMINATION!

T-Mobile probably didn't reveal how bad the crash really was, nor should they have done that. But I think his poor performance is due to that crash.

Btw I don't dislike ullrich (not that you were thinking of me, know would you😄 )..........but somehow it's weird he never gets his act together. But it's still early.......

Oh and there strategy should be: VINOOOOOOOOO!

I'm not a regular on this forum but I don't dislike Ullrich either (and I don't like LA that much). Nonetheless I would love to see his team get being Vino - thatwould make a great tour.

Someone is really going to have to mug Lance and the Disco boys in the mountains if they stand any chance.
I'm not averse to Lance strolling to a 7th win for his retirement farewell but it would be nice to see some of the young guns take the fight to him.

Ullrich completely went through the backwindow of a car with his head and if the cut in his neck was a few millimeters more deep it would have reached the carotid artery.

Most people wouldn´t go to work the next day if that happened to them.

I agree it sucks though, I really hoped Ullrich would beat Armstrong and win the tour.

😕 Hmmm I have never seen anyone slamming ulrich for anything but bad performance, Lance is the only cyclist I would categorize as being disliked by anyone (at least there is a lot of anti-Lance sentiment, but I have never seen this for Ulrich at all). Either way he got his ass handed to him by his nemesis today.

I do not know much about Zabriskie, but maybe he can give Lance a run at the jersey..... Of course , for weeks we have heard about the Ullrich/Vino double punch...... Maybe the real story will be the Armstrong/ Hincapie duo in the flats. Can George stay in the mountains with the other GC riders?? Maybe George will be sitting in second when they hit the mountains ??? Barring injury , crashes, sickness, it is shaping up to be a interesting Tour. I am an American and a fan of Armstrongs & Ullrich, but we need a Tour that has surprises.

HUH, are you serious zabriskie a contender.........LOL! He's a good rouleur and great TT'ist, but no way close to the podium. And hincapie has proven he can stay relatively long in the mountains with the top men........like he did last year setting a good pace on la mongie!

Yes it was not a great start from Ullrich, not awful however considering the trauma of a recent fall. The trouble is Vinokourov appears to be in a better position for a challenge to Armstrong at this point. A very good ride for him. Of course Armstrong must be given all the accolades. He is as stronger than ever. Beloki a big surprise (I am happy to see him back). Mayo very bad. Not bad performances from Julich, Basso, Frigo, Kloden, Cioni, Heras, Savoldelli, Karpets, Popovich, and others. But the discovery team looks like they are ready to extend lead on the team time trial as they have so many riders in the top tier.
