  1. Hi all - a few years ago I bought a nice ear oil for minor infections
from Motherlove and really liked it. They no longer make it, however, and
I need something desperately. I'm really looking for an oil to put a few
drops in the ear of. What do you recommend? I haven't ever made an oil
or tincture so I'm hoping to find something to purchase. Any help you can
    give would be appreciated. Thanks!

  4. Hmmm. For swimmer's ear-- ten parts olive oil to one part tea tree oil, if it
is bad. If not, two parts alcohol for swimmer's ear to one part white vinegar.

The first mixture tends to get stuck in the ear so just pull on the lobe to get
    it out.

No guarantees but alternating the above every three hours or so worked for me
where prescription ear drops didn't. Try to leave the drops in there about
    thirty seconds or so.

  5. When I was little and I had ear ache my mother used to warm some almond oil
and put a little bit into my ear and plug it with a plug of cotton wool.

It's mostly swimmer's ear type of stuff. The oil I used to use was to
finish clearing up a bad fungal infection I got - I intially went to the
doc and got a prescription for pills which really did a number on my
digestive system. Not wanting to do the pills again when the infection
came back, I tried out this ear oil from a place where I bought other
items and it worked great, but they don't make it anymore.
I got a bottle of Similasan from Walgreen's but it's just not quite the
    same.
