  1. Okay, this is pretty gross, but here goes. I have a little bit of a
body odor problem. Even after I get out of the shower and washed my
underarms pretty thoroughly, I still have BO. The only deodorant that
helps is Secret, and even on certain days I have to re-apply a few
hours later. It's disgusting and I am paranoid about emitting an
offensive smell to those around me.

I generally try to avoid anti-perspirants and the harsh chemicals in
Secret. But plain deodorants leave me with discolored pit stains on
my shirts, and I have to throw them out. And I haven't had any luck
with any of the natural ones. Over the past few years, I've tried at
least 5. No luck with any.

    Does anyone have any advice?

  2. IMO Roll on's offer much better smell protection that anti perspirants.
Also a good plan (if you have lots of under arm hair) is to shave it off,
    and use lots of soap..
It's the bacteria that makes it smell, so something that is naturally anti
    biotic should help.

  3. Try drinking a mix of chlorophyll and/or water/mineral water/lemonade after
about a week you wont smell at all. My son in law rides his bike to work
each day and was an offensive smell in the office until he started on this.
You still sweat (or perspire if you are a lady) but it does nt give off that
    smell.

  4. Many years ago I worked with a fellow who had to shower 3 times a day
for awfully offensive body odour. His doctor told him it was a zinc
deficiency or zinc handling problem. I believe he took zinc
    supplements.

What was interesting is that this fellow, whom we often chummed around
with, drank quite a bit of Sauterne wine each night. It seemed he ate
    a fairly acid type diet.

I've thought about him over the years and wondered if he changed his
diet to a more alkaline one, with emphasis on fruits and veggies, if
it wouldn't have turned his problem around. And I say this because I
noticed that my own feet smell terrible if I skip the fruits and
veggies for a few weeks. When I eat more of these and cut back on the
breads and meats somewhat, I notice the foot odour disappears.

    Just a thought.

Check out your regular diet!! You MAY be ingesting something
    regularly
that "ADDS" to your body something you do NOT want! If you wish to

discuss this at length...a series of E-mails to me MIGHT be of value.
    I HAD
the smae problem until I finally found out that my POOR eating habits
    were
    the MAJOR cause. B-0b1

  9. Take fiber supplements like metamucil a few times per day and get your
    bowels working again.

It has to come out somewhere.

    Let's discuss your average diet?? B-0b1 (e-mail)

  11. Thanks all! I'm going to try taking more zinc supplements (I have had
zinc deficiencies in the past, so this could make sense)...and also
metamucil. I should be taking that anyway because I have irritable
    bowel syndrome.
