Time release Vitamins such as NIACIN are a good Idea. The exact
    Science
of vitamins is unfortunaltely an OBSCURE item. I have studied it
    for many
years and I feel I have a good "handle" on it!

Vitamins are related to weight but an be generalised. Vit C is
    MASTER in
"catalysing category" and 250 mg per hr is recommended as a
    minimum.

Vit C is the MASTER catalyst as stated, witout it neitehr Vit E
    nor Minerals may
be used properly in the body and simply pass thru the back door
    without being utilised.
The proper sequence is as follows: C catalyses E which in turn
    in combination catalyses
Minerals with the help of Vit B6. All other "B" vitamins MAY be
    used alone as they are
specific to the endocrines systems. (thsi is WHY a MULTI Vitamin
    is better than using
individual vitamins...HOWEVER...the multi's FALL FAR SHORT of
    even minimum
requirements..as in: 50 mg of C is rediculous when at least 250
    mg per hour is required!
If you are a smoker, (GOD FORBID!!) Each nasty ciggy requires 50
    mg for each one in
    addition to the minimums.
The amount of Vit recommended for mimimum health is 450 units
thrice daily at 6 to 8 hr > intervals..It MUST have :C: to be
utilized however. These TWo together are REQUIRED to > make
MINERALSusable and NOT just pass thougn like a train in the night!

B Complex is sued by the endocrne systems..and even though C is
    NOT required for them.
It's still a good IDEA. I hope this clears up any confusion in
    general Here's to an HEALTHY
Life...and obeying the rules where FOOD is concerned also. A lot
of foods do belong > > together SUch as starch and
meats...making an hamburger DEADLY and about as health as >
Arsenic. Starch OR Meats go with veggies..but STARCH AND MEAT kill
    eachother.
These are simple guidelines and anyone who steps outside them is
    asking for trouble...it
appears, from indications. That includes about 90% or more of the
entirre Human race who > are' minimally educated. This post is but
a START in that direction, B-0b1

Time release Vitamins such as NIACIN are a good Idea.

If I remember right, according to Steve Harris, time-release niacin is
    a really *bad* idea.

Let's see, that'd be 6 g/day. Most people can handle that much, but
    it's an awful lot.

You forgot to mention vitamins A, B (all of them), D, and K. Surely
we should be "catalysing" all of them also.

Jacob...As long as the BALANCE of needed Vitamins ( C-E-B-Min's)
are correct and meet realistic intake ( RDA is too low) ...you
    should be fine.
I use time release NIACIN to control HGH/HDL chemistry.
I suggest some research on your part! Dr. B-0b1 ph.D

Totally not needed. Your body has plenty of them floating around
in the bloodstream, ready for use. It's not necessary to have
    them continually being absorbed.

That's a LOT of B-6. If I recall correctly, about 50 times the RDA.
I would not be comfortable with that much. Way too much niacin, too,
and it's in a form that won't help with cholesterol anyway.

Most of the others look reasonable, though. The other one was over
100% of the RDA for iodine; going over the RDA for minerals isn't
    usually a great idea.

This thread is NOT about Ritalin (which would help your attentional
problems) nor is it about Jan. However, if you keep it up, it can become
    about Jan real quick.

  12. Hi
For cheapness, I'd go for a decent 100% RDA multivitamin and ramp up the
relevant ones you need to mega dose.
Or.. you could go natural and start juicing and get them in the ratios
    nature intended....
