"Asiatic ginseng is often associated with its ability to restore life
or its effects on sterility and impotence," so is considered more
valuable in the Orient than American ginseng. Of all Asiatic ginseng,
Korean ginseng is recognized as the best grade, despite the
shape or size of the root. (Facts About Ginseng). In recent years,
Hong Kong has been the major ginseng market , followed by
Singapore and Taiwan. Even during the 1970's ginseng was the
fourth most important agricultural product exported by the United
States to Hong Kong. Of all the ginseng accessible in world
markets, the Korean Panax ginseng has been the one that is most
highly recognized among the dominant consumers, the Chinese.

Because of the healing properties contained in ginseng, six
reported cases were given in the same book, Facts About Ginseng,
The Elixir of Life, by Florence C. Lee.

  2. Mark,

Why are you starting to sound like lowlife Dave?

  3. If I may Mark.

Doug, do you really need to ask that question? But since you did, in an
unnecessarily rude way, I might add, I will offer an explanation for your
enlightenment. Mark understands that ignorance makes it impossible to have
any discussion. He has shown that he possesses the intellect that others
here profess to have (but demonstrate they don't) by seeking out some
knowledge about something before trying to discuss it. What is most
interesting is that ginseng is one of
then most amazing plants on earth.

If you step back and take a look, what you see is that Mark is worthy of
respect and you are not. Consider upgrading your bad behavior with good
behavior and you too could earn some respect.

    Mark,

I was pointing out that his claim to have a special
ginseng is not recognized by the people who use
ginseng. The best ginseng is widely recognized
as that produced in Korea, following methods
developed over 900 years. When I went to a
Chinese herb shop and asked them for the best
    ginseng, that's what they recommended. I don't
remember exactly how long ago that was, but I
think it was about 10 years ago.

With all this talk about ginseng, I thought I would
try it again. Yesterday, I went back to the
Chinese herb shop and purchased two jars of
the same concentrated Korean red ginseng
extract. There's a lot of variation in the potency
of ginseng products, so if anyone wants to try
ginseng, I certainly recommend this material
because of its high and consistent potency.
If this doesn't work for you, it's not because
    you chose weak material.

I actually could have saved a couple bucks
buying it directly over the Internet from the
importer, but I didn't know that until I did
some web searches after I got home.
I'm not unhappy with what I paid at retail.
Here is a link to the importer's web page
    for the product:

    http://www.superiortrading.com/share/cgi-bin/site.cgi?qf.itemno=1070&page_id=detail&site_id=superiortrading

I have no commercial interest in the product
or its importer -- my only relationship to them
    is as a satisfied customer.
