I believe it depends upon where you are and what objective you have in
mind for stocking the pantry.

Here, in Florida, we have a somewhat pointed reminder just now, that
we'd better be prepared with about a week's worth of non-perishable
foods for as many folks who share the larder.

A bit of urgency tends to focus one's thoughts before leaping off to
the supermarket.
