  1. Dear RBR,

    Definition:

"Fred" a dumbass loser who spends time in online forums slinging
insults at those who accomplishments far exceed their own.

    Thanks,

    Ed

P.S. Note to Kurgan: Please remind me when you last raced a high level
    UCI race?

    Double thanks,

    Ed

    Dumbass -

Is that the best you can do? Weak.

Funny, frED, because as pathetic as Henry's accomplishments are, they
surely far exceed yours. So you defined yourself too.

    NS
ps -- my pathetic accomplishments far exceed frED's too

    Yikes,

Apparently sane persons are coming to the defense of the ultimate and
everlasting fred. It's a world gone mad!!

And yet is not the 'utlimate' Fred, he who posts messages obsessing about
what some 'dumbass loser' posts in a cycling newsgroup?

Let's just get back to cycling, shall we? ;-)

    Dumbass -

Never have I raced a UCI race, my racing abilities were too poor.

That shouldn't stop me from calling it like I see it. Zabriskie fredded
    out.

BTW, I've never acted before in any sort of cinematic production and
declare that Keanu Reeves sucked balls in "Bram Stoker's Dracula".

To sum up: my own incompetence doesn't prevent me from recognizing
incompetence in others. Too bad for you that Hero Worship Syndrome
prevents you from doing the same.

    thanks,

    K. Gringioni.

Sort of like a Reverse Salieri syndrome?

("What team did he ride for?"😉

  8. Dear Kurgan Gringioni,

I don't worship heros, I just cut them a break in a difficult sport
when practiced at a high level under circumstances you couldn't hope to
understand and have never experienced. With the exception insulting
dumbasses like yourself, I try to refrain from name calling in sport or
    in life.

    Sincerely,

    Ed

    <snip>

    Dumbass -

That's the definition of Hero Worship right there.

    thanks,

    K. Gringioni.

  10. "obsesssing". You might check the number of Ed's posts versus the
thousands by KG. Talk about obsessed.

i remember some quote from a literary critic responding to a similar
complaint of "if you know so much, why not write something genius
yourself else shut up", and he replied with something like "i'm not a
carpenter, but i can certainly recognize a poorly built table when i see
one." i can't remember who it was though.

    so you're not alone..

a post from him even now.)

Yep, he's a colossal pain in the ass if you don't have your [censored]
together. He's been around enough and done pretty well in cycling. Not
a star, but solid and gives a [censored].
You have your [censored] together, and can make a solid argument for it
based on verifiable experience and/or reputable sources then you can
have a great discussion. You aren't prepared, your cat5 meat in the
    middle of a pro race.
    Also a big fan.

He made it to my blocked senders list a while ago. It's nicer here now.
