  1. I am a Type II diabetic and this is my first attempt at a low carb
diet. I am doing South Beach. Its working wonderfully, my Blood sugar
is down, I feel okey and I don't get hungry. The problem is that the
South Beach diet, as in the book is tedious. The recipes, which are
good BTW, are not cheap and often not simple. I am currently not
working but that will change soon. I need a South Beach Diet lite, the
same idea but with simpler, cheaper recipes.

Look at the basic ideas and come up with your own. :-)
    Get creative!

Might want to do a google search for low carb recipes...

    Good luck!

  3. You could always try eating less and exercising more, while cutting most of
    the carbs from your diet.

Which part do you not understand?

I haven't read the South Beach book, so I'm not sure what the recipes
are like. Maybe if you posted some of them, or at least the ingredients
you find expensive, we could give you some alternatives.

cooking is actually very easy. take a chicken, add salt or spices,
stick it into an oven at 350 degree for 20 min x weight of chicken in
lbs. Or take a piece of salmon, add a little oil or fat, and fry on a
pan lightly. add a tomato. etc etc. it becomes exceedingly easy with
    practice.

Gosh, Why, I never thought ot that. One can only hope that others in
this group have your insight. You can even answer a question that
wasn't even asked. Boy, I am impressed

  9. It seems to be more of a problem with his level of reading and
comprehension, which is disturbing since he claims to be a teacher.

  10. Obviously you never thought of it, but I'm always glad to help.

Feel free to come back with those difficult questions I'm sure are churning
    away in your pointy head.

  11. More passive/aggressive posting from someone that can't figure out how to
    lose excess fat.

    It figures.
