John Cobb, aerodynamics guru (and consultant to Lance Armstrong) has done wind tunnel tests showing
that bottles mounted traditionally on the down tube are more aerodynamic than bottles mounted behind
the seat and even more aero than no bottles at all. Of course as Lance has demonstrated in the last
ITT of the current Tour, drinking enough water is faster than not.

Any TT under 20 km does not require water, you're riding flat out.

Anything over that then use a normal bottle.

Actually, I thought some of the other TT stuff was sort of funny. USPS spent a lot of money
making special suits that put the wind over their behinds better. Then it was covered up with the
number. OK, so why the special fabric and seams if it's gonna be covered by paper? I understand
why they riders to zip their tops -- I mean it is hot -- but it's not as aerodynamic for them to
be opened either...
