There are cows everywhere, and they are surprisingly aggressive about
confronting hikers when they are eating. Not just one pesky bovine but
the whole herd, and they are very large animals.

You will notice that the feed zones are in the valleys.

Great Discovery Channel and OLN tie in.

Just arrange different animal challenges at various stages. On one mountain
we've got under fed cougar - don't get dropped. On another, wolves. On one of
those flat and boring stages a cape buffalo is gut shot by a hunter wearing
lycra right before the peloton comes by. Drop rattlesnakes off one of the
motorcycles in front of the peloton.

This could make for some great racing. Well it wouldn't improve the actual
racing, but damn would the TV ratings improve.
