Eearlier today i was reading about some esp. gruesome crashs, and i thought to myself, hmm that could never happen to me. (i should mention that todays my birthday). I went for a ride this morning, but when i got home, i decided i wanted to go for another one later on. So i departed, taki8ng the scenic route around our lake. I was actually making very good time, and i thouhgt hmmm, god is giving me a bday present. Anyway, i was on my home after finishing hte most grueling part of the ride, the veyr large hill at the end. I made it up with ease. ON my way home, a lady ran a stop sign, hit me, i flew onto the top of her car, and now im on my way to the hostpital.

Edit: i have a severe contusion in my left calf, sprained ancle, and i have to wear a brace on my calf for a while.
lol. (as i am 15 years old, i require my mom and dad for rides etc.) I got home, and while i had hte ice packs on, i was getting very antcy and i wanted to let out some frustration about the stupidity of hte driver. on reflection it gives me a laugh too.

You really did get a gift for your birthday, the potential to live longer. There are a lot of cyclists who when clobbered by some idiot in similar circumstances ended up in the morgue! Every time your leg hurts and the brace gets in your way, count your blessings "young cat" as you've just used up 1 of your 9 lives! Live and ride well, and "stay frosty".
