It's intereting how this is reported. There's no mention that this happened
some time ago, so the natural assumption (for me at least) is that it is a
recent event. It makes me wonder about the other "news" items on the site.

My thoughts exactly. We've had this sort of thing said in the group
before, that when a subject/news item about which one knows something
is covered by the meeja, it's apparent how poor a job they do. So
naturally we have to wonder about the quality and accuracy of
everything else they provide.

The journalist particularly wanted to use my story, but I was surprised
that there was no mention of when it happened. I had a call from
another journalist yesterday (from the Western Daily Press[1]) wanting
to do a piece about it. I told him that it was reported in the Bristol
Observer nearly a year ago, but he was still interested enough to send a
photographer round to meet me after work.

A colleague heard on the radio this morning that the police claim to be
investigating the incident. Seems to me they've left it a bit late...
