Also I'm interested in cycling groups. Nothing hardcore as I consider myself a novice.

MTB. Road and off road

Join the Ribble Valley CRC its in Preston great club. Routes are always interesting on the sunday club runs in terms of routes i'd recommend buying an Ordance Survey map and start planning thats what i did when i moved up to preston last year.
