"8-speed 1990-95 Right end of spindle 3 mm longer",

so can I used a modern cartridge bb, or do I need to find a original 7400 bb.

It's the asymmetric BB-7400. That spindle's dimensions are identical to the classic Campagnolo
1046/A Nuovo/Super Record and was also used by the majority of premium cranks ( Zeus,Nervar,
Favorit, Sugino Mighty, SR Royal, Suntour Superbe, etc, etc) of the era. Easy to find at many
quality levels. Oh, or a classic Phil Wood #2.

I still have two or three in my inventory somewhere. ITL of course. Email me if you want to buy one.
I think I even have a 118/70 axle(triple?).
