  1. Hey all,

I'm not interested in gee whiz functions, color screens, ringtones, games, etc.

    I seek the following:

-Very good RF/signal holding/reception -Very good outgoing voice quality; incoming quality not as
critical. -Reasonably loud earpiece; meaning, better than Moto C33x series, not required to be as
loud as the Nokia 3390, since that can be ear splitting on max. -Functional calendar/PIM. Meaning,
more than one note per day possible.

Other than those, nothing is critical. Extra features are bonuses and I'd lean that way, as opposed
to paying almost the same for a feature poor 3390 for example. Lack of GPRS, lack of WAP, lack of
2.5mm earpiece, lack of infrared, etc, aren't must haves.

The P280 is more feature rich between these two, but from what I've read the n105 has better RF
performance overall. Is that your experience? I'm ebaying one of these unless steered elsewhere.
I've read primarily Howard Chui and the newsgroups for opinions.

I prefer the n105's flip, the P280's GPRS, the n105's monthly PIM view, and the P280's standard
2.5mm jack. But RF and outgoing sound trump all.

    Advice and suggestions please.

    Thanks, Doug

Thanks for the insightful comment. I learned something about myself from your wisdom.
