Hi, I am interested in beginning road cycling, but am unsure of what bike to start out with. I am looking to spend $2000 (aus) and have been directed towards the Trek 1400 or the Orbea Gavia. I can find no information or reviews on the Gavia but due to a salesman's advice I am swaying towards the Orbea for its on sale prive of $1500 (aus). Any advice in comparing these bikes? Thanks

Alternatively the Cannondale r5000 with full durace costs 2500 dollars and weights in the low 16 lbs full built. It has a carbon fiber fork and rides very well. I almost bought one but decided on the Six-Thirteen.
Good luck. Picking a bike is very personal. :o
