Lemonade Powder?

There are all those electrolyte restoring etc powders available from
running shops, in a variety of exciting flavours. If you nip across to
the running NG, or Runners' World, I'm sure someone will be able to
give you a simple recipe to make your own - much cheaper, and possibly
nicer tasting.

How about effervescent vitamin C tablets? They would probably be orange
flavour though.

Thanks, I've tried them but with all the extra additives they're quite
bulky and heavy - you've got to put a lot into a litre of water. They're
also expensive.

I'll have a look in the NGs you mention.

I found something called "Crystal Light" in the states a year or two ago,
which sounds like what you're looking for but I doubt if it would be
allowed over here because of all the flavourings/colourings in it. Maybe
you can get it by mail order!

gRRRR - In the Hungarian Equivalent of a "Pound Shop" I got some
wonderful blackcurrant flavoured crystals when I was walking over
there. Never seen the equivalent in the UK

Actually it was complete cr&p compared to the lemonade powder(s) you can
get in the USA (or at least in Texas). I used to come back from trips
with huge cans of the stuff (each makes 8 (US) pints). That's the sort
of oddball foreign stuff that Safeway (now Morrissons) used to
specialise in, but I never looked for it there.

Of course, as someone said upthread, it is probably completely
politically incorrect, loaded with things the EU have banned, and
guaranteed to rot your teeth - but it sure did taste good. Canada has it
too ...

You've tried Googling I trust? fwiw, if you can find some sucker who
will ship it, there should be no import duty on food.

have bought it anyway!

Nothing specific, but I reckon they owe a pretty large apology to the
people who've been sucked in by their baby milk scam over the years.
I've got nothing against bottle-feeding babies, BTW, having had to do so
myself, but most people who do so are able to make an informed choice.
By 'misleading' I mean the way Nestle have convinced and continue to
convince people who don't seem to know any better (through lack of
education other than that provided by Nestle) that 'their' methods are
best.
