Just noticed that the Bath Ales Brewery has an open day on the 1st Oct, between 10-12am, and the new brewery, Cotswold Spring, is opening the same day between 10am-4pm. They are both part of the local foods initiative of SGlos council! The Bath ales is in Warmley, and the Cotswold Spring is in Chipping Sodbury, about 10 miles apart.. Cotswold are selling the beer at a pound a pint.
Anyone fancy a brewery crawl?
Sadly the Wickwar Brewery, with the famous BOB, isn't having an open day until the following saturday.

I'd love to visit the Bath Ales Brewery (never realised it was on my doorstep). Shame it clashes with the Tasty Cheddar audax, which I have registered for, although I reserve the right to wimp out if it's wet and windy on the day.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to get a bunch of the small craft breweries together to sponser the Tour of Britain bidons next year... love to have a couple of Black Isle Brewery bottles for the bikes.
Might give the wrong impression though, 96 riders hurtling along at great speed having drunk numerous pints of liquid from said bottles...
