Bulgaria's Levski and CSKA Sofia made a historic breakthrough to enter the qualifying stages of UEFA Cup after winning 1-0 over Auxerre and Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday.
CSKA eliminated Bayer Leverkusen from the UEFA Cup, with 1-0 at the National Stadium. Midfielder Mourad Hdiouad's perfect shoot in the 66th minute made him the big hero today. The hosts repeated their score in the first leg of the game.
While in the same night, two hours later Levski FC swept the victory from France's Auxerre in a 98-minute match. With an early 1-0 lead Levski earned a first-round UEFA qualifier slot.
