  1. I'm going to start with an apology for posting an OT post especially
since I've been lurking without posting many RR's recently. But I
feel the need and I'm me...What can I say?

First, I've read Freakonmomics, it was okay. Not really eye opening to
me, plus you can make statistic fit anything at all. I mention this
because there is a part of the book that relates abortion to crime.
In short abortion up, crime down. No races involved in this
    particular theory.

Now here we have a misquote from a blatant Racist.

"But I do know that it's true that if you wanted to reduce crime, you
could, if that were your sole purpose, you could abort every black
baby in this country, and your crime rate would go down,"

William Bennet...YOU SVCK. At least the KKK admits they are bunch of
    dumb@ss Racists!

I will not respond to any trolling, I just felt I needed to write
    this.

    Peace,
    Bill

Well, it IS essentially a misquote (see below)...

You can tell the bias of your new source whether or not they quoted
    Bill Bennet's NEXT sentence....

"That would be an impossible, ridiculous and morally reprehensible
thing to do. But your crime rate would go down."

His comments were in response to a caller offering another "stupid
    hypothetical".

I think it was dumb of him to put it in the terms he did - he could
have accurately said "abort every child below a certain socioeconomic
level" instead and have dodged the race card (though maybe not all
    recrimination).

I just got done reading 'Freakonomics' as well - the author(s) got
blasted (undeservedly, IMHO) for racist attitudes, but I didn't detect
a bit of that (including in the parts of the book that dealt with
race). In fact, the New York Times went out of its way to defend the
book and author (an economics professor at Yale). Interesting read,
    actually.
