Now if you check this seller's other auctions you see sometimes 100's of auctions all listed for small amounts, but stating in the auction an actual price which seems to be a very good deal, usually too good. Now I understand they may be trying to by pass Ebay, but is this a scam. The seller's profile is always brand new with no history. Often the seller is in the UK or China and selling from the UK.
The postings are often short term and removed by Ebay quickly. I work too hard for my money to risk whatever is going on here, but if someone has some info, please share. Possibly they are making a lot of money by naking small profits on so many auctions and figure they cannot be tracked?
SCAMS. The fact that ebay removes them at all is a tipoff, if they are removed quickly they are probably already notorious and the security department is removing them as fast as they can.
For a while people were lifting people's bike pics off of forums and using them to do their bogus listings. As always if it sounds too good to be true......
yes, Ebay is quite good at spotting scams and other sellers / buyers also report dodgy auctions to help keep the venue "clean"
some slip through though
All I can say to you all is to exercise caution and, if something seems too good to be true, it could be and if something feels dodgy, it could be!
There are bargains to be had though and, as I mentioned earlier on another thread, some of the less busy auction sites are worth a look too - fewer buyers can mean lower prices.

they are not good at spotting them at all i am a seller and my account was suspended as i sold something and the ad was shorter than normal it was a genuine article for sale.. my account was reinstated and those nasty ppl at ebay never apologised for it.. they use software to spot it not humans and it is a little [censored]-ish lol
there are many scams on there.. tons of em and some are sellers with high feedback too.. so beware...
one i can mention is one called "joly-swag-man" i cant remember if it is the right way to write it but thats the name... he takes the money leaves you good feedback then never sends the item.. complain to ebay they do nothing as his feedbacl os higher and they take the trading record into account when settling problems..
i have been selling for 3 yrs now i go boot sale and buy loads for a tenner then sell it make a little bit too lol :p
