  1. OK, so, kids who are vaccinated are supposed to not get the diseases
that they supposedly are vaccinated against. Assuming this is true
    (which it isn't), explain this:

What makes people think that they can't still be carriers, and spread
diseases? If they are vaccinated, they supposedly are OK, and it's only
the non-vaccinated who have reason for concern, right?

How does a non-vaccinated kid pose a threat to a vaccinated kid? Please
explain. IMHO, logically, it should be the reverse, yes?

If a non-vaccinated kid makes another non-vaccinated kid sick, big
whoop, right? What do you care? Your vaccinated kids are "safe",
    right?

FWIW, in my experience, the non-vaccinated kids were healthier.
    Non-vaccinated kids who are well-fed, well-loved, and well-housed - in a
sanitary environment - are (in my experience) healthier and less
inclined to suffer much from childhood illnesses, even when they do
    catch them.

Of course, the non-vaccinated kids I speak of are my kids, and the kids
of my homebirthin', breastfeedin', stay-home-with-your-baby pals. I
realize were are not typical (but, IMHO, we should be).

  2. There's a new theory that the various blood types evolved in repsonse to
    various viral/bacterial assaults.
For instance this theory states that blood type O was good for fending off
viral attacks, and others different pathogens.
I don't remember the name of the theory - maybe someone else knows?

That is possible with live vaccines. But vaccination still stops epidemics
of the wild disease occurring. Smallpox was eliminated not by vaccinating
everyone in the world (nor by improved sanitation in India and Africa) ---
it was controlled by restricting the movvement of cases and vaccinating all
    who were in contact.

No. No vaccine is 100% effective, and some of the vaccinated will still be
at risk in any epidemic. The illness may be milder or shorter, but not
    necessarily..

The non-vaccinated kids are a threat to those who are too young to be
vaccinated or who cannot be vaccinated because of immunosupression or other
illnesses, also to themselves and others who refuse vaccinations.. The
classic example is whooping cough. Deaths in epidemics of that are mostly
in babies who are too young to be immunised.

    Quoted message said:

If a non-vaccinated kid makes another non-vaccinated kid sick, big
whoop, right? What do you care? Your vaccinated kids are "safe",
    right?

Well, as pointed out above they are only fully safe if there is enough herd
immunity i.e. high enough per cent vaccinated to prevent epidemics. If
your children were spared the hazards of mumps, measles, whooping cough,
polio, rubella, then that was largely because others vaccinated their kids
and prevented.the epidemics that were usual when I was young.

If epidemics do occur, you had better warn your children to stay well clear
of cases if they can. Most such illnesseses that can be much more severe in
older persons. They also should be careful when they travel. They could
also easily bring such illnesses back from other countries..

FWIW is right, as you are smart enough to know..

Yes, you can be lucky. Most kids escaped being paralysed by polio, or
made brain dead by measles even when I was a kid, but my mother was too
scared to ever let me drink from a public water fountain in case I got polio
during the frequent epidemics. Perhaps you aren't old enough to fully
grasp the impact of these illnesses in an unprotected population.

Well, that's exactly how it all used to be and it wasn't as pretty as you
seem to think. For God's sake go to an old cemetery and look at the ages of
the children, And that wasn't malnutrition, look at the survival rates
amongst the children of the crowned heads of Europe. It is easy to
romanticize about the "natural" when you have grown up in such a protected
    environment as you have today.

Do you think this an argument to stop vaccinating as the live virus will
always infect others and induce immunity in them? Seems double think to me.

    More power to you Mama.

My grandchildren are doing very wll being breast fed and un-poisoned by
vaccines. I do have a fourth on the way.

The germ theory of disease is false. When you research that and understand it
enough, all our epidemics are understandable.

All epidemics, in the US, begin in Atlanta, Georgia. That is because that is
    where the CDC is located.

Polio is just one example of our medical monopoly combined with our corrupt
government. Polio really shows you how powerful the medical monopoly really
is, and how readily they can round us up for branding like a herd of dumb cows.

It is alright to avoid them, but do not get too well known. They have a habit
of arresting and assassinating their competetion.

Very few vaccines are live. Vaccinia ("Cowpox"😉 , as used in smallpox
vaccination was, but it could be passed on mainly as a skin sore similar to
that produced by the vaccination and on the hands of milkmaids..

It is thought that the live polio vaccine, which can spread like the real
virus, may have been responsible for a very small number of cases of
paralytic polio, and there is always the risk of a live vaccine mutating
into a more virulent form. For this reason there is a move to non-live
vaccines for polio in countries where the wild virus has been eliminated.
Live viruses probably produce more long-lasting immunity that dead vaccines,
and are of course much easier for the child if they can be used orally or
    intranasally.

No, because in some cases the vaccines do not "take", and in some
cases they don't take completely, so the person gets the disease
anyway, just not as virulently. And in still other cases (pertussis
is the classic example), vaccine-derived immunity wanes over time.
If you were vaccinated for pertussis ten or more years ago, you're
probably not immune any more. However, as an adult you won't get
anything more than a persistent cough -- which is far from what will
happen to a 3-month-old infant you might infect.

    Quoted message said:

No, because most vaccinations don't use live virus. Again, because
vaccines aren't perfect and non-vaccinated kids are many times more
likely to get the disease, they do pose more of a threat.

thirty years of medical practice. Chiropractors would see even less

Freedom is good. Differences of opinion are good. Civilisation thrives on
the infinite diversity of mankind. What stuffs it up are ideas that are
held contrary to all the evidence. Opposition to vaccination has now been
shown to regularly result in unnecessary deaths and suffering, even
impacting on those who once held the view that vaccination was undesirable..

You are only safe becasue others have assumed any risks that do exist with
    vaccinations.

I will not condemn you for choosing not to vaccinate your child. I

if enough people choose not to vaccinate it is likely we will have

YOu should thank God that you live in America that has a very high
rate of vaccination which protects your unvaccinated child from
diseases. If you lived in a country like Pakistan or India your choice
would be a poor one. Your children are protected from serious diseases

And thank you for adding another data point to support the assertion

  18. My disease vector child is 19 months old, never had a cold, never had a
cough, or an ear infection never had any type of illness, all the while he
comes to work with me almost every day and plays with children that have
runny noses and god knows what else, but his immune systems works great! How
many vaccinated children have that type of record. I know that I certainly
did not as a child, my parent did not know that they had a choice when it
came to vaccination. I treat alot of children, the healthiest by far, seem
to be the non-vaccinated. (Sorry if you dont agree) Between my wife
breatfeeding, no vaccinations and chiropractic care I know in my heart (and
a lot of research) that I am doing the best for my child.

My poor nephew is now deaf because of a chicken pox vaccine. His mother
went on blind faith that the vaccine was safe, the Dr. told her it was. Like
I said before thank god we all have a choice. If you want to vaccinate your
child go for it I will never attemp to stop anyone, but at the same time
please let those of us who choose not to, have the right to make those
    choices.
The bottom line is do what you belive best! But dont do it blindly, ask
questions of your Dr. and do the research. What ever you decide, that is OK!

By he way I remember Mark Probert from about 8 years ago when I posted in

  19. It does not take an MD to put two and two together and figure out that the
normal kid that had a reaction to the shot the night before, and when into a
high fever, and now is not normal. Also in Ohio we have a broad parctice
scope that allows me to make these opinions.( Just like most states)

Just ask around a little and you will find children who have had reactions.

By the way, some of those third world countries have better life spans than
we do, and less infant motality rates.

  20. Hiya rick, long time no see! Last I saw you was in 1998 in
    alt.support.attn-deficit.

We had a great thread about ADHD and chiropractic.

    See:

    http://tinyurl.com/22o9x

In it I said, to a very nice gentleman who holds the degree of Doctor of
    Chiropractic:

    In article said:

Mr. Palmer, You bring up a perfectly valid point. As a
chiropractic physician , I am constantly frustrated by the fact that too

thinking people in the world. Whether it is ADD, ADHD, or as I just read
in another post, hypertension , a chiropractic professional should
and better have a reasonable and scientific explanation for how
spinal manipulation will benefit. Not just clinical trials.
    Matt G. Shull, D.C.

    Got the message yet?

Uniformity of standards. Now, Herbies, and you other "Alternative Critters",
    do
you finally understand what we have been saying????

Dr. Shull has said it fron the alternative side. I have said it from the
    allopathic side.

If you want to remain clueless, that is your choice. However, do NOT try to
    say
that yours is better, when your so-called researchers refuse touse
    appopriate
    clinical models.
