Isn't it dangerous to eat raw eggs?
Pandora
Theoretically...
I love egg yolks raw or runny and I've eaten dozens of raw or minimally
cooked eggs over the years and only gotten sick once, and that was from
foolishly eating a "suspect" egg. My fault for getting careless!
I thought you had chickens 🙂
I like raw eggyolks too!

I do have chickens... ;-)
Here is the story.
I was on a raw egg kick. I soak my eggs in a 10% bleach solution to
disinfect the shells prior to breaking them for eating. If _I_ find an
egg in a nest that is cracked, I toss it to the chickens! Sometimes eggs
get damaged during the washing process. I don't usually destroy those.
My dad also collects the eggs and his eyesite is not as good as mine.
I ate a cracked egg that looked a bit "odd", but it still smelled and
tasted fine. I assumed it had been damaged after being collected.
Bad move. 6 hours later, cramps, etc. After not being able to keep
anything but water down for 3 days, I finally went to the ER. My co-pay
is only $75.00 but not everyone has health insurance!
I had Salmonella. :-P It was not fun, but it's not scared me away from
eating raw eggs either. Just no more carelessness!
Cheers!
