I got a second job and had orientation this morning. It let out late,
then I raced over to my other job, then on the way home this evening I
felt kinda weird in my stomach, and I realized that kinda weird feeling
was hunger from not eating all day. Nice to see you again hunger! But,
alas, his visit was short, and he left as soon as I got home after I
had scrambled eggs and bacon. I need to not do that forgetting to eat
thing often though, it makes me burp.

I know. I feel like [censored] today though. Missing meals + not getting
enough sleep + being very physically active with the kids = feeling
really rundown and a bit like I'm coming down with something. In article <[email hidden]>,

meal, maybe a meal and a snack. Well last Friday I had a protien shake
and went on about my day. My day included 2.5hrs of racquetball w/ the
f-i-law. Come about 5:00 Friday night I felt down right sick! Not eating is good, except when it is bad.

Or beef jerky.Things that can be eaten on the run!
Cheers!
Yeah, but see, I'm not psychic. I was told the orientation would be 2
hours, which would have left me enough time to eat, but it went an hour
over. If I carried eggs and cheese around with me all the time "just in
case" then my car would stink worse than it does already. -

DAYS at room temp. ;-)And jerky keeps even longer.
Just some ideas for ya in case that happens again.

Meh, IME sleep deprivation will make you feel far more run down than
missing meals. :-) Enough sleep is important for a number of reasons. In article <[email hidden]>,

Yup. I just had an erratic schedule this week. No or little food for a
few days, I can do. No or little sleep for a few days, I can also do.
Both at once, I can also do, but it's highly unpleasant. As for the butching up, well, I felt awful, but I did all the stuff I
was supposed to do, right? And, I didn't cry. I'd say that was enough
butch.In article <[email hidden]>,

Almonds and cheese have saved my ass more than a few times on this

How expensive are they compared to others?

Atkins also turned me off due to rip-off pricing.I bought some Atkins cornbread mix way back when I first started Atkins
in 2003 (I might even have had it since before that), but I never used
it until about a month ago -- it was pretty GOOD! It was much lighter
(less dense) than regular cornbread (more like a fluffy cake), but all
things considered, I was surprised at how much liked it (especially with
lots of butter). I think I added some Sweetzfree to it to sweeten it up
a little more. I'll probably get some more on occasion.--

I bought a box of 15 for about $23 at Sam's Club. I was looking for a
replacement for breakfast for my favorite Keto Oatmeal Crunch bars as Keto
went out of business. I eat a half a bar with my coffee in the morning.
The Golden Oats Granola is good, too, though it would be better if it didn't
have a coating on one side, the Peanut Butter ones don't. The coating is
white and not as bad as the chocolate coating on most low carb bars.In news:[email hidden],

Oh, me too Ernie. I try to keep a zip-lok bag of nuts with me at all times,
in my bag or briefcase - almonds and pecans are my favorites. They keep
forever and don't spoil. I also sometimes get those little cheeses that are
about an ounce, encased in wax and plastic - Laughing Cow? They are not
great cheese (IMO), but portable and don't seem to spoil. I have one big
zipper pocket in my briefcase that usually has a ziplock with a couple Wasa
FiberRye crackers, and another with nuts. If I know I might need to eat on
the run, I might add an ounce or two of cheese, or a tin of sardines or (my
very favorite) kipper snacks, in a quart ziploc along with a plastic fork
and a couple folded paper towels, to deal with spills and cleanup. My
portable emergency food kit.And once in a while I'll get a couple Atkins bars and add them to the kit.
To me they are ok, nothing I'd seek out, but definitely sustaining if I need
something to hold me a couple hours till I can get a proper meal. I like the
Atkins better than any of the competition, but that's not saying much.HG

Now that winter is nearly here and it's cooling off, I want to make
another pot of black soybeans, and make it like chili. Ok I know that
chili with beans in Texas is Sacralige, but hey, I want it that way!
<lol>I plan to experiment with flour free corn bread made with pulverized
baby corn to _really_ try to make it as low in carbs as possible! I'll
post results if it comes out the way I hope!Fortunately, I happen to like dense cornbread!
Cheers!
