Ditto here. I'm in far northern California, and my last flat was 2,381
miles ago, and my tires are definitely not "flat-proof" (Michelin Pro Race).

Perhaps the OP is riding too far to the right, or riding on MUP's where
thorns are more common.

On the Santa Ana River trail (Corona to Huntington Beach, Calif) My
riding buddy and myself have hung Spent tubes on the wooden bridges
and a few other secret places. These items have great magical
properties and will protect a rider from flat tires if one bows and
chants "TUBE GOD" while passing the special sites.

I know it is silly but it has worked so far this year .

Wouldn't you %$#@! know it...I must have [censored] the Tube Gods, because
as I was preparing to leave work this afternoon on my bike, I noticed the
rear tire was low. Apparently a small leak from who-knows-what (I just
added air and time-trialed the 10 miles home).

Lesson learned...never, ever, ever, mention how long it's been since you've
had a flat.

You're right, that's the silliest thing I've ever heard...everyone knows
there is no such thing as a Tube God...but one MUST regularily give thanks
to appease the Great Road God AZJFALTT!!!

Oh yeah, and stick slime in yer tubes...mine also have four (or more) thorns
in 'em...but they're still rollin' along at 90lbs P.S.I. There are,
however, two drawbacks to using slime in your tubes:
1. You have to use Schrader valve tubes.
2. You have to replace both tubes and tires when the tires wear out. This
is because; by the time the tires wear out, the tubes are GLUED to 'em.

Must remember to check my tires tomorrow. I have run over alot of stuff

the bridges Halfway across on the western side.

Praise them and they will protect!

%$#@! I just finished fixing it, and it's confirmed. My slow leak flat
from a couple of days back was, indeed, caused by a thorn.

That's the last time I post how long it's been since I've had a flat...
