  1. I've been trying to sift through the newsgroup, looking for info on
lean-mass increase relating to increased metabolism. Googling just
turns up a mish-mash of opinions.

There was a recent article (citation of which is beyond me atm) that
says that increased lean mass doesn't really help with sitting
metabolism. I've posted on this topic before.

Since this is a spam-prone medium (taking for instance, the recent off
topic post about Bush being a liar and killing tens of thousands) I
want to ask for some succinct opinions:

    1. Does resistance training boost your metabolism? (ie, more muscle
mass means more cells burning fat stores while watching reruns of
    X-Files)
    2. What's the best dietary way to maximize fat-burning while retaining
    lean mass?

I've pumped up to about 18% bodyfat with my various injuries' keeping
me out of the gym. I'd built up a decent lean-fat ratio (9% bodyfat at
the peak), but it's been months, my pants don't fit any more, and I'd
like to start this newest effort by nuking the bodyfat and then
    starting to bulk again.

    Thanks for your info.

    BLink.
