John Clayton said:Advice please. While passing a learner driver (after a long wait behind) the instructor grabbed the

Does anyone here know if his "permit to instruct" could be revoked? Where to complain?
Hi John
I have no idea about the revoking of the "permit to instruct" business. A couple of days ago I was
on a roundabout and had signalled where I'd wanted to go. All the exits from the rounabout were
blocked by other, stationary cars.
Nevertheless, this one car decided to pull out in front of me and blocked my path; I had to brake
quite hard. As the car was wearing an "L plate" I assume the chap in the passenger seat was a
qualified driver and the actual driver was a learner.
In truth, there wasn't really any danger but the man in the passenger seat shouted: "That's your
fault, mate!" I replied something along the line of: "It's a f***ing roudabout. You've gotta give
way to those already on it." My language could well be considered to be racialist as both the driver
and the passenger were black. However, I just think I was being rude as had no idea of the colour of
the car's occupants at the time.
No matter. I was very annoyed at having to hit my brakes so sharply.

"Sorry mate, I didn't see you" is not a satisfactory excuse.
