I just bought a Garmin 60c and one of the first things I tried was to
save a trackog to my PC. I was a bit surprised to find it started in
Taiwan since I live in London. However, I presume this relates the time
it was tested in the factory and the data was stilll in the unit.
Viewing the track in Google earth there is a very good resolution
picture of what could well be the factory where it was made.
