Yeah, well... I'm going to purchase a new bike for the the kids 8th birthday today and was looking at the "Mongoose Metric" it's pretty much at [censored] Sporting Goods, Sports Authority and places like that and is $179 bux... anyone have an opinion on this? I was thinking that he and I would start doing some trail riding and neighborhood riding... I've got the highly sought after (but little known about) Lotus "Pro Series" 3000M that I got for $350 at Sears about 15 years ago and the tires still look brand new 😎...
Anyway... is the Mongoose a clunker or what? I couldn't see myself pulling the trigger on the "Heep" and $179 seems to be in my price range...
Nevermind... I scored the Raleigh that looks identical to the Diamondback Octane 24... a *little* more ($249.00) than the Mongoose but the raleigh looks better and I got it from the local bike shop instead of the huge sporting goods store...
