How much $ to straighten a rim?

You need to true it by tightening the spokes. A shop will probably charge around $10. Or learn how
to do it yourself and save yourself many headaches and some cash.

I vote for the second option. IMO, it isn't really one of the most difficult things to do, and for a
relatively true wheel, you only need just the brakes themselves as a truing aid (other than the
spoke wrench of course).
