The same greedy corporate [censored] (Interwest) who own Whistler have seen the success there and are
now working to create similar parks at their other resorts namely Snowshoe, WV. So you've got a
choice...Starbucks and sushi or moonshine and mountain oysters. ;^)

It's pretty bad. We tried to close it but riders just blew through the tape and signs and continued
to ride as if they have a right above all others. We are going to get up some workdays this fall to
repair the damage. Also have a couple of Eagle Scout projects to help.

We do have that here in the US.
Diablo Freeride Park in Mountain Creek (Vernon, NJ). I love that place. I would highly recommend it
if you frequent the east coast.

Many years ago my brother bought a motorcycle and took me for a quick ride around the block. It
scared the [censored] out of me. I would lean away from the bike on all the turns for fear of hitting the
curb or pavement. I thought my bro was going to kick my ass.
Hey, come to think of it...maybe I was subconsciously learning how to counter steer for my future
illustrious DH career. Hey now, I also remember riding my Centurion 10 speed down a long hill with
neither brake working....poor old lady....I still vividly remember the horrified look on her face as
a ran one too many stop signs. She nailed my front wheel sending me about 15' in the air and
snapping my right arm like a twig . Damn, this is like destiny!

the pickkup, and go be a bike bum. Or win the lottery so I can afford a condo near by. Very

this Fall. The Fruita Fat Tire Festival never makes her top 3, despite my persuasive sales skills.

Looks nice, but I probably wouldn't be able to handle all the socialists (or french for that

I haven't been there yet but my local resort. www.mountwashington.ca has some decent trails.
I have yet to go over to see whistler. Apparently it is a lot larger but it is also a lot more
expensive.

no idea about Banff.. but nelson has great food and shopping (patagonia outlet and art) PLUS riding,
Ainsworth hot spring and the lake. I've got the "ticket to ride" map, care for a triple diamond?

Even with the Colorado National Monument 5 min from downtown Fruita. The Dinosaur diamond is pretty
cool too. Boise is only a 10 hour drive away.
