Tyler Hamilton Movie ?

[font=Verdana]...I did read they had to go re-shoot scenes from the 2003 Tour with [/font][font=Verdana]Hamilton[/font][font=Verdana] with a hired cast of 1000 fans on the side of the road. I think it was due for release at the end of 2005. Maybe its been scrapped due to the fact that [/font][font=Verdana]Tyler[/font][font=Verdana]'s twin brother refused to sign his acceptance to be in the movie because he is still an embryo ?

The brainpower of MGH neuropathologist Matthew Frosch, MD, PhD, soon will be coming to a theater near you. Frosch was part of an advisory team that lent its scientific expertise to the Partners HealthCare-produced IMAX-format film Wired to Win: Surviving the Tour de France, which explores the capabilities of the human brain. Integrating IMAX technology, cutting-edge computer and medical imagery and real-life racing drama, the movie shows how the brain responds to stimuli and adapts for success as people learn, train and practice. "Part of my job is teaching neuroanatomy to medical students and graduate students," says Frosch. "The chance to extend that to families and children in a way that they can grasp is very exciting."
The film — funded in part by a National Science Foundation grant and co-sponsored by Ortho-McNeil Neurologics, Inc. — is part of a Partners effort to excite young people about brain biology, encourage further study of the sciences and inspire children to pursue careers in the field. More than 300 Boston-area students gathered Dec. 1 with Boston Mayor Thomas Menino at the Museum of Science for the world premiere. The film will open to the public Dec. 9 and will be released nationally in January. Partners is in the process of planning free screenings for employees to be held in 2006. I went to see "Wired to Win" about a week or two ago. They pretty much axed everything that had to do with Tyler- he appeared briefly in one shot and they did not mention him by name. It was about 45min long and mostly covered a French rider who also crashed early in the tour- same big pileup. Some of the film making was ablsolutely stunning. Beautiful IMAX film in the mountains. I forget how bright and colorful everything is always only seeing the sattelite feeds.
I think its kind of a shame that they decided to trash the Tyler material - regardless of what he did or did not do the next year it takes away little from the fact that he did ride almost the entire 2003 TDF with a broken collar bone, won a stage on a solo breakaway and finished quite high in the standings. Even if he had been blood doping that year it would have helped nothing with the pain of the broken bone so at least give him his due there. In any case he was never accused of cheating at that point in time. Sure I can see them not wanting to associate the film with him, but it also seems ashame to waste all of that time, money and beautiful film making.

It`s about Jimmy Casper (yes, he is CaspEr and not CaspAr as written on movie`s homepage!) and Baden Cooke. What about Tyler Hamilton? Are you sure that there aren`t 2 movies?

I believe they decided, because of all the blood involved, to change it into a vampire/slasher flick.
