Biathlons in the UK

In the UK a biathlon is x-country skiing (winter) or running
(summer) and shooting.

A swim and run event is known as either an aquathlon or a biathle.
Aquathlons are generally longer events and are run under British
Triathlon rules, biathles are short events run under Mondern
Pentathlon rules.

Personally as a distance runner/biker who can swim a bit - I prefer
triathlons :-)
