  1. Woke up this morning feeling less than awake. That's OK, I'm working tonight so that should mean I can fall asleep easy when I get home from work today.

Mind operating at less than optimal speed, even for a morning, I bumble through getting my stuff together for the day.

Leave home sure I've forgotten something. Nagging in my mind while I pedal on. Twenty kms later a knot forms in my stomach as I realise I've left my pump in the hydration pack I used on Saturday for Lysty.

Fsck! The last ten kms are spent in fear. Will they sense my weakness, my lack of preparedness? Will the multiple punctures sufferred on Saturday appease them and let me slip by un-noticed?

I make it to work, just the journey home and I may just make it. If not it's a call to the bicycle ambulance (oh the shame!)

  2. Ahhh Give us a yell and we will come and rescue you 🙂 Might still
    tell Suzie tho.

When the sun tour was on last year I left work ... rode like hell to
see the crits in ligon street.

Noticed the bike cop eyeing me up and down...> Artrrggggggggg. No
    Helmet.

Still seem to be alive tho.. go figure

    Dave

Yes, that was not amusing. Note to self, always check rim liners on new wheels.

Have two rolls of same and a couple of new tubes, one of which will be winging its way to Bikesoiler pretty soon. Goat maybe?

Yes I was another casualty of the day, thought I would do a nice 80k loop into the city, along beach road and back up Springvale road to home. Got a puncture near home but was running out of time because I had to be at the Burwood velodrome by 1.30pm with my son, who was racing their.
