Yeah, Schraeders are more difficult to work with - it does get easier though.

I don't think I got anything with mine either - save for what was written on the box. One thing to watch out for though - there's a little pin that holds the thumb lock lever into the head and that pin likes to work its way loose. When the pin gets a little loose the thumb lock lever *seems* to still function but it won't work and you'll let all the air out of your tires. Takes a little practice with an awl and a hammer to get it back in.
