The shifter bosses on my circa-1980 Peugeot PFN-10 have some non-standard threading. They're coarser than the M5x0.8 bolts that you'd typically expect, although they're the same diameter. Is there a coarser version of threading for M5 bolts that would fit? Many thanks if you happen to know.

It's either an M5x1 (not very common) or it's an English 12-24 which is a bit smaller (4.76mm), slightly coarser (1.058mm), and a lot easier to find.
