No pop-ups when I looked. Not a single one. I thought some
Jell-O-Shooters popped up and into your mouth, but none of them,

You probably have popup-blocking enabled. IE still doesn't have
an option for this, and when you use IE to look at the site, you
do indeed get popups. Mine was for "Nude Cruises".

I suggest everyone use a secure browser like Seamonkey, Firefox,
Opera, etc... Anything but IE for everyday use.

Out of curiosity over browsers, (not for the shooters recipe) I went to
this site and had no popups. I switched from IE to Firefox a couple of
weeks ago and am happy I did. It was a snap to download and install.
It is faster loading many sites, and the tabbed browsing works very
well. I have not downloaded the AdBlock extension as I don't see a
need yet. I did add ImageZoom and NoScript, both of which are reason
enough to switch from IE. Add me to the list of those who recommend
Firefox. -aem

Slimbrowser also eliminates popups.
From my experience, avoiding any angelfire site will eliminate half the
popups you would ever expect to encounter.

Interesting -- I was using -- just a minute -- Safari. Been so long
since I've gotten any popups that I thought I had a preference set. I
did not. I now do.

Safari and Firefox. It was Safari and I have since enabled the pop-up
blocker. I thought it had been set as a preference (wasn't paying close
attention).

Huh? I use MT-NewsWatcher (for Macintosh) - no OE or IE here.

Nah, I could figure it out - they've been around for a long time. I was
curious about all the How To things and wondered what was behind it.

If you use Internet Explorer you can download Pop-upStopper from
Panicware.com. It's free and works well enough in combination with IE.

I use IE and I have popups blocked. As a matter of fact, I clicked
on the site and sure enough, pop-up block. To see this pop-up or
additional options click here...

Don't ask me how I set it, perhaps it arrived loaded that way.

Just FYI, AdBlock is considered a legacy application There is an
"AdBlock Plus" plug-in, though that may be what you meant anyway.

That's your newsreader. Does it include a web-browser, too?
What are you using to look at web pages? If it's not IE, then you
probably have a popup-blocking option.

You have some sort of "third-party" popup blocker, not from
Microsoft, but works with IE.
