homeopathic treatment but treatment that uses other similar systems. I
spent six yr. working in a project that involved human and animal
experiments to test the effectiveness of Ayurvedic and other herbal
preparation used the in the treatment of several chronic disorders. I
was just one member (as a biochemist & a pharmacologist) of a large
group of investigators. After screening some 36 Ayurvedic preparations,
used in the treatment of disease like iron deficient anemia,
hypertension, arthritis, lucoderma, diabetes, intestinal infection by
hookworms, edema etc., all of us came to a conclusion that none of the
preparations showed any statistically valid effectiveness in animal
