And us suckers who are volunteering have to be there at 6am.

As we were (and several a.b rowdies) off swanning around Sth Yarra drinking lattes early on Sunday, we heard via Suzie, TimC & Ess that the ride went rather well.

So any chance of a RR or media statement?

90% of the ride was great, my first time up the 1/20 - really liked the climb and will definately be out there to do it regularly now i think.

I think I got dropped from the bunch just as everyone left the cafe and (i assume) started of the ride back home (there was a queue for the bathroom dammit! :P) so i headed off solo to find my way home.

After a really enjoyable decent, i managed to cop a SIDSY .. guy in a commadore decided to turn left, cutting in front of me just after the roundabout at the bottom of the 1/20.

Got home pretty much ok, Went to the local police station, who seemed to want to treat the matter as a minor accident "nothing really to report since you exchanged details.." I did manage to get him to take details since "its all computerised now" so that if need be, a TAC claim can be made - i'll see how i feel in the morning, since neck and shoulder started to feel quite bruised today. The constable took notes on A4 paper, and couldnt give me a reference number, but did take down my details, the other guy's details and a small diagram of what happened.

Spoke to the guys at the LBS today and the bike goes into them for inspection/quote tomorrow. I guess the I get to call my new "mate" up and see what happens from there. If I had to have an accident, this would be a good one to have - no major damage to anyone.

Aside from that, I had an awesome ride, really enjoying the dandenongs having seen them twice this last week, having never been there previously.

And you would have still had a decent pace going through there, right,

After rolling up on my SS and saying 'Morning' to the locals and getting zero response, 'snobs' was my 1st reaction. Things became less cool once 'Happy BRers' turned up🙂 Once things got rolling there was plenty of talking with new people along the way, so they aren't all bad😉
I had fun yo-yo'ing with JonoL while I tried to keep on top of my 70.9GI up The Wall. This is a good way to see what Baw Baw is like without making the trip out there😄
The Coffee stop was huge, with ppl having to stand due to the numbers & plenty of bike talk going down.
Anyone know how much $$ was raised?

Still quite efficient service -- was happy with that. They usually
have barely enough seats when the usual 15 or so rock up.
