  2. my old lady had a cruise vacation all planned up about ten years ago. I kept telling her sell my
seat cause I ain't going on no cruise ship. Jammed in with a bunch of people half of you don't like
anyway. At least on an island I can go out for a run and wind up on the other side of the island. I
ain't runnin laps around and around a ship. To each his own so I hope you have fun. The guy that
owns the gas station where I deal went on a cruise and I asked him how he managed his jogging and he
said he ran laps around the ship.

  4. the first cruise we took back in the 80's I had to jog on the main deck that went around the entire
ship. since then all the boats we have been on had small but servicable tracks, usually topside.
check out carnival's website for the deck plans of the that ship and it should show you where the
track is. at the very worst they will have plenty of treadmills available in the healthclub. you
might ask on rec.travel.cruises pretty good bet someone there has taken this cruise.

enjoy and promise to eat way too much!

  5. Ahh, Carnival........the K-Mart of cruise lines. After about 5 days, you're going to want to hang
yourself. Unfortunately, your cubicle, err stateroom, won't have a single item to help you achieve
this goal. Oh, and just a friendly reminder to all Americans traveling abroad. Always learn the
following phrase, in the spoken language of the country being visited....."Don't shoot us, we're
    from Canada."

  6. And speaking for all Canadians, I want to thank you for using our generally untarnished reputation
as your armor. And to think that Dubya was mad 'cause Canada wasn't there to support our American
friends. Sheesh, if only he knew.

We're Americans so they tend to be a little frightened of us. In any case we are the only ones with
REAL money to spend unlike the broke ass Canadians and Europeans Never Forgive, Never Forget 9-11-01

  11. Most cruises stop in port at least every other day. You can run on terra firma then. Otherwise
consider the gym treadmills on board. A few ships have mini-tracks a couple hundred feet around.

  12. We went on a Celebrity cruise (The Zenith) a while back and it was impossible to run on the deck.
Too many walkers and all walking abreast and a runner has to keep passing these same people every 3
minutes or so. I just ran on the treadmill which wasn't that bad. Doug Burke

  13. It wasn't Salmonella, you idiot. It was Norwalk virus. Salmonella is a genus of bacteria. You are so
far from correct it's pitiful! You nincompoop!

Boy you're stupid. Salmonella CAUSES the Norwalk virus you dolt.

Is that your final answer? Wrong. Salmonella is a bacteria that cause gastro. It's a single celled
bacteria that is foodborne The Norwalk Virus is a virus that causes also gastro. two distinct things
    that cause similar symptoms.

    ....

aren't all bacteria supposed to be single celled?

It should be fine but remember that it's vital to run clockwise (anti-clockwise in the Southern
hemisphere) to cancel out the Coriolis forces. Otherwise you may get some ITB trouble after coming
    back onshore.

Be sure to run in the center of the ship while in the meridan, otherwise it's bad juju.

  18. On the RCI Rhapsody, had a 1/8 mile track. If you get up early and avoid the walkers it was
great. Sometimes the wind could be a problem. The NCL Dream had a 1/6 mile track on the promenade
deck. Were not allowed to run before 7am. Had to maneuvre around a few obstacles, and walkers
    could be a problem.
