This afternoon has SUCKED. I almost got robbed, but chicken stock saved the day.

I'm so glad that you're safe, Stacia! Aren't you glad you made that stock now?
Yes! I usually leave the curtain closed for privacy because there's a public walking trail in the back of our lot.

Please let us know what you put into the stock.
The stock was better than I thought it would be. I had more skin and meat left on the chicken than I remembered, so it made a ton. Put in one and a half white onions, two large broccoli stalks, two celery stalks, and 4 small carrots. Seasoned with salt, peppercorns, two bay leaves and some ground sage. The fat skimmed off pretty well this morning. The stock itself tastes so good I'm going to have to make a soup out of it, it's impossible not to.

Oh my gosh, if you would have had the curtain closed and he didn't see you, that rock would have smashed through the window and it could have hit you!
Did you get a good look at his face? I'm just curious because if you hear about another break-in in your neighborhood, it may be him and you could identify him.
