I have the same breathing problem. I have chf which causes a lot of fluid
buildup which causes breathing problems. I take Lasix, 80mg twice a day,
which helps somewhat but not every time. In the past month I been in the
hospital three times due to difficult breathing.

the record, I did not have asthma before my heart attack. I am a
former smoker, but I never had any difficulty breathing even when I
smoked. My chest x-ray is clear, and I hardly even cough anymore. I am
53 and weigh just over 200 lbs. (Lost 20 lbs. since the heart attack.)If anyone who has had a heart attack and is now experiencing trouble
breathing or a feeling of tightness in the chest, I would like to hear
your experiences and how you are dealing with it. I also wonder if
anyone taking asthma medications (such as Singulair) is also taking
medications for cardiovascular heart disease. I realize that most
inhalers cause a rise in heart rate, so I would have to stay away from
them. All comments welcome, as I am very frustrated with my current
