I got it and a ti Flite a while back in a fluke find at the local
thrift. The Vuelta was under a buck and the Flite was all of three
dollars. I've been riding the Flite for a few months and really
enjoying it. It's a classic for a reason--simple, and gets out of your
way. I'd resisted mounting up the Vuelta for a while as the rails were
a bit discolored, though the top was like new. I was waiting for a
contractor to show up at the house today and took the boredom out by
mounting up the Vuelta for a try. Same shape as the Flite pretty much,
a smidge wider, flatter, and denser padding.
Took it on a quick 20 miler and I'm fairly impressed. No logos, seams,
cutouts, or other such nonsense, it's got the same no [censored] quality
as the Flite. The difference is in the padding. It's slightly thicker,
but more dense. Almost feels like a touring perch. Good stuff! Kind of
like a marriage between a Flite and a Turbo. I may keep it on for a
while.
Ramble ramble.
I'd never heard of this brand before I found it in such an odd place.
Anybody else familiar with Selle Bassano??
